If you're planning to attend ICAR 2025 in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, it's important to understand the U.S. entry requirements for international visitors. Depending on your country of citizenship, you may need to apply for a visa or obtain authorization through the Visa Waiver Program (VWP). Citizens of countries participating in the VWP can travel to the U.S. for tourism or business purposes, including attending conferences, for up to 90 days without obtaining a visa. However, you must apply for authorization through the Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA) before your trip.

B-1 Visitor Visa for Conference Attendees

Invitation Letter

To support your visa application, you may request an official invitation letter from the ICAR 2025 organizing committee. This letter will confirm your participation in the conference and can be presented during your visa interview. Be aware that as of June 9, 2025, the U.S. has implemented travel restrictions affecting citizens from certain countries. These restrictions may impact visa issuance and entry into the U.S.

  • The full ban applies to foreign nationals from 12 countries: Afghanistan, Myanmar, Chad, the Republic of Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Haiti, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, and Yemen.

  • Heightened restrictions apply to people from Burundi, Cuba, Laos, Sierra Leone, Togo, Turkmenistan, and Venezuela.
